Tactilus® represents a major advance in plantar foot pressure mapping and gait analysis. The system captures foot pressure variation through thousands of tiny piezoresistive elements distributed across the sensor plate.
Much like standing on a scale, the sensor plate records both localized pressure and the critical distribution pattern of that pressure. From its durable yet lightweight scanning surface to its feature-rich software, Tactilus® provides everything needed to generate real-time orthotic design, detect potential areas of ulcer formation, and perform precision temporal and spatial gait measurements.
Advanced Data Processing & Visualization
The heart of Tactilus® technology lies in how data is assimilated and visualized on your computer screen. The software captures a continuous time series of data—literally millions of data points—and constructs detailed 2D and 3D pressure maps.
It provides comprehensive statistical information including total force, weight distribution patterns, locomotion analysis, normal foot comparison, evaluation across 19 plantar regions, gait line analysis, and much more.
As a final benefit, all data captured from Tactilus® can be easily exported for use in Excel or other statistical and analytical software packages, enabling advanced reporting and further customized analysis.
